Hello there you beautiful human beings!
I hope everybody is having a wonderful weekend and a Happy Mother’s Day!
When I was editing all the photos for this post there were 55 in total! I have managed to narrow it down though luckily! Also I didn’t buy all this makeup at once it has accumulated over roughly 2 months, hence why some of it looks a bit grotty. Apologies! At least they’re well used right?!
I believe the majority of it I brought from Superdrug . Besides the Makeup Brushes which were purchased from Amazon which I will link.
Bourjois Air Mat Foundation-
This is my first time trying a Bourjois Foundation as I normally tend to stick to Rimmel, however I wanted to try something different and I am so glad I did! This is perfect if you don’t like the feel of foundation on your skin as it feels super light yet still has a good coverage which is build-able if desired. I think this will fast become my Holy Grail!
Rimmel Wake Me Up and Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundations-
The only problem I found with both of these foundations was the fact that they went patchy almost an hour after applying. I do prefer the Lasting Finish to the Wake Me Up as I feel it has better coverage (when it doesn’t slide off my face!) And as my Skin is quite dewy naturally I prefer to use a more Matte Foundation. I can’t say that the Lasting Finish would last 25 hours, and honestly, would anyone seriously leave it on for that amount of time anyway?
Makeup Revolution Translucent Pressed Powder-
This comes in such handy little packaging, it’s perfect for popping into your handbag. The fact that it also comes with a decent sized mirror on the back too is an added bonus.
Bourjois Blush Rose Coupe De Foudre-
This is a beautiful peachy coral shade with a slight hint of shimmer, the shimmer shows up quite well when on the cheekbones so there really is no need to use a highlighter with this blush. It states that this blush has a scent of rose to it which I aren’t quite picking up myself.. However I think this blush is extremely pigmented , especially on my fair skin. I’m not quite sure how much colour will show on somebody with slightly darker skin however.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer-
I brought this concealer in the lightest shade I could find in the store, this is to help brighten underneath my eyes and to also use as a highlight. I like the fact that it has a dofer applicator as you can be more precise when using it. The texture of this concealer is creamy and very easy to blend.
Believe it or not these Make Up Brushes are actually only £6 from Amazon. I have been using them for about 2-3 months now and I have never had any bristles fall out from them.
Makeup Revolution Mascara-
Yes I was inclined to buy this mascara purely for the fact that it has pink packaging!! I have no shame.. For such a low cost mascara (£3) this works wonders. The wand is quite chunky but I actually find this much easier to coat my bottom lashes surprisingly as I normally tend to reach for a slimmer type wand. It doesn’t clump my eyelashes together and has good staying power, I use it in the morning and it’s still as good as new come evening.
Makeup Revolution Affirmation Eyeshadow Palette-
Firstly I have to apologize about the state of the palette in these pictures, these eyeshadows are extremely well used! The first product I ever tried from Makeup Revolution was one of their eyeshadow palettes and since then I have kept going back for more. I just think for the price that they are, they are such good quality. The shadows are also really long lasting with or without a primer and are super pigmented, the shimmer ones more-so than the matte. They are easily build-able and bendable and have a creamy consistency. I always tend to go for shades that are a gold or pink but I also like the fact that this palette has a few darker and more colourful shades to mix it up a bit, and it’s perfect for both day and night.
Bourjois Colorband Eyeshadow & Liner Mauve-
This states that it can be used as both an eyeshadow and a liner, however I only use it as a eyeshadow. I wouldn’t say it is particularly easy to blend, it likes to stick to one spot on my eyelid! The colour payoff is lovely but apart from that i’m not really a huge fan of this..
Makeup Revolution Line and Flick Eyeliner-
I’m just going to put it out there that this is my favorite eyeliner that I have used to date! It comes dual ended, on one end there is a kohl eyeliner perfect for just a subtle liner look. And on the other is a felt pen which has a thin nib so you can be precise and as the felt is obviously a lot darker this is great for a more dramatic look.
Makeup Revolution Salvation Eyeshadow Palette-
This palette is a lot smaller than the other one featured, instead of this containing 32 shades it contains 18. This is the perfect size for travelling though and it has all the shades to take you from day to night with ease. It has 12 shimmer shades and 6 matte. As with all MakeUp Revolution shadows they are highly pigmented and long wearing.
Well! I feel like I have ranted on enough now.
Have you tried any of these products mentioned? Or are you inclined to try any?
