♥ Nails

Don’t you just hate it when you buy a nail polish in the most gorgeous colour and go to paint your nails and it takes about 5 or 6 coats to get a good coverage? I know I do!

I’m saying this because I had that problem only yesterday when I was painting my nails for this post. And I just don’t have the time or the patience to sit there and wait for each coat to dry before applying the next. Anyway enough about my ramblings. On with my Nail Polish reviews..!

Revlon Brilliant Strength – 220 Provoke I love love love! this colour. It is a peachy coral with a hint of orange and I feel that it would be the perfect colour for spring. I actually have this on my toes right now. It has a medium sized brush so you can achieve even strokes. It is long lasting and dry’s fast, you also only need to apply 2 coats of this for a great finish. It does make my nails slightly stronger but my nails are so fragile anyway (they even break and chip with professional gelish or shellac on) that I feel It would be unfair for me to comment on that. I’m sure for anybody else though it would be great!

Makeup Revolution – Find True Love 06 This is again another colour that is perfect for spring! It is a really lovely pale shade of blue. This also has a medium sized brush for perfect strokes. I only needed to apply 2 coats of this and I had great coverage. It lasted me about a week before I had my first chip which is very good for my nails. I was a bit dubious when buying this as it was only £1. But it is absolutely brilliant and I would recommend anybody to try them.

Ciate Paint Pots- Pom Pom I actually got this nail varnish in my monthly glossybox. And I am so glad! Everything from the cute bottle with the bow to the finish is great. I would describe this colour as a pink with red tones in. It offers great coverage with 2 coats or if you wanted I reckon you could even get away with 1. It is fast drying and long lasting.

Essie Essie Snake
Essie – Snake, Rattle and Roll Oh wow this is amazing! It’s a metallic steel grey. Which on it’s own is a lovely colour to have on. But there is a trick! On the lid there is a magnet. And when the polish comes into contact with this is creates a snake print effect hence the name of the polish. To achieve this you paint your nails as normal, but when you apply your second coat to each individual nail before it dries you need to hover the magnet over the top of the nail for about 5 seconds as close as you can get and it will give you instant nail art. Awesome right?

MUA – Natural Days This is a really pale pink. It would look lovely in the Spring or Summer. The only issue I have with this is the fact that it takes loads of coats to get a decent coverage, I think possibly because it is so pale. And then because there is a build up of so many coats it tended to only last me about 2 days before chipping. But if you only wanted to wear it for a certain event or for a day out then it would do the job just fine.

Mx factor
MaxFactor Glossfinity- 55 Angel Nails This is a very fine glitter / metallic gold colour. The applicator is very small handled with a dense brush which makes it difficult for me having only small nails as I found the polish to go more of my skin than nail. It also takes a lot of coats to build up good coverage. Again this may be due to the fact that it is pale when applied to the nail. It would be a perfect colour for a night out or a party though.

MUA- Cherry Blossom This is a dark pink colour with purple tones. This takes about 3 coats to get a good coverage. It is a lovely shade of pink when dry and has a lot of gloss. The brush is quite thin, perfect for small nails! It also has quite good staying power, I can go a good couple of days without it chipping.

What’s your favourite? And do you have any nail polishes you would reccommend?
